Being Water's Floating Intake Filter is used to pull the cleanest available water in the storage tank or cistern by resting several inches below the surface. This is important because sediment sinks to the bottom and debris floats on top. The floating Intake filter accepts water through the stainless steel filter, then enters the Food Grade smooth wall flexible piping and exits through the True Union ball check valve on it's way to the watering system. The check valve is positioned on the interior or the exterior of the tank depending on your installation preferences. The screen always stays submerged under water unless the tank is emptied.
